Usually when people do that “you’re special” crap I tend to roll my eyes.

But when Mister Rogers said it…

That’s because Mister Rogers meant it.

That’s because Mister Rogers meant it.

That’s because Mister Rogers meant it.

Yes he did.

If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail, they probably would have been founding members of the Flat Earth Society. Maybe they would have agreed with one of the pioneers of the radio who apparently said, “Television won’t last. It’s a flash in the pan.” … They might have even sided with one of my predecessors, President Rutherford B. Hayes, who reportedly said this about the telephone: “It’s a great invention but who would ever want to use one?

Lionel, 99, and his wife Ellen Buxton, 100, met in March 1930, married on July 18th 1936 and have been inseperable ever since.

The couple, together a total of 82 years, have not spent more than one night apart.

Upon speaking of their marriage, Ellen says:

“We have never been apart really and have never wanted anyone else. We have been married happily because we have been good friends as well as husband and wife.

We have always made sure we have had nice evenings out together. Whether it is going for a romantic meal or out to play bingo

‘We are more in love now than ever. We keep each other going.”

I always thought this an incredible scene. The image of Usagi alone has such an impact for me, her body sprawled lifelessly in a bed of murderous flowers, eyes empty and mouth open.

And then there is Mamoru, who is nearly on the verge of death himself, and somehow managed to force his way out of a glass enclosure, using nothing but the strength of his injured body.

Mamoru has been alone his entire life, his first best and only companion a small boy named Fiore. And now this is Mamoru, killing his best friend for the one he loves. No thought. No regret. Simply reacting with determination.

God you do such beautiful work Woman!! Honestly! You gave me whole body goosebumps… especially that first caption of Mamoru… My god that man… *shivers*

“The only reason Rupert and I have probably never argued is that he’s the most totally laidback person you’ll ever meet. You could probably set fire to him and he wouldn’t really mind.”
